April 11, 2012- 2012/2013 Officers Chosen and Announced
Although the turn out for the April 11th meeting wasn't as substantial as we could have hoped, the final decisions regarding next year's Officer Team are quite uplifting. The list goes as follows:
President: Margaret "Maggie" Rick
Vice President: Kayann Johansson
Secretary: Alixe Carpenter
Treasurer: Dylan Ellison
Going into elections, it was fairly obvious which candidates would win each position, but what we hadn't known was for what reasons. It did take some coercion to convince Dylan and Alixe to continue to uphold their positions for another term, but Maggie and Kayann seem to have very bright ideas for the German Club's future. Included in these goals is increasing recruitment efforts, working towards better communication with the advisors, offering more German-esque events and overall increasing the amount of opportunities for German Club members. We all look forward to seeing what this new team of officers has in store for the 2012-2013 term and congratulate them whole-heartedly on their election.
